Another invention test.

This one is looking much better. Once again, hubby whipped out lunch that tastes great and is healthy. ( Made from Organic Rye Bread - which has no SOY as an ingredient) - in case you dont know, SOY is GM & is bad. - we'll talk about it in one of my blogs some other time.

Lets see, it has organic free range eggs, tomatoes, avacados, and a little bit of bacon which is the unhealthiest thing on the plate, and some home grown parsley.

With a little saly & black peppercorns, I think its a cafe style dish that can sell for $12.90. And of course, great to taste.

Pasta chef

My hubby got a little hooked on trying to make his own pasta & i think it must be inspired by the Masterchef series. Being inventive, he bought some buckwheat & added some chlorella in there.
It started looking like that, and with a bit of curiousity, kiddo came up on the bench and asked "Whats that? Is that poo?"  What can we say?

It eventually came up looking a little better, the pasta maker that hubby got from Aldi broke before he finished doing the 1st batch. So much for Aldi products that cost $15. Apparently, the ginder couldnt take the pressure and moulded off from a square bit to a circle with the friction gone.

We didnt get much.

Interesting looking.

But at the end of the day, we had it on our plates, and I must say, with the Maggie Beer pasta sauce costing us $10 a jar, with some ricotta cheese and some fresh snapped peas, it tastes really good!

Choo Choo train ride & Moo Moo farm day

It was a public holiday in Melbourne & we thought we bring kiddo out on a day trip. Here he is outside the Collingwood Children's Farm.

This fateful cafe proably ruined our entry to the farm. I queued for half an hour for food and waiting an hour for the food to come, the coffee & food was great; but not worth waiting that long for. Our friends brought their own food, finished it, went into the farm, and came out, and we were only just finishing off our lunch. We didnt go in at the end.

This is the half an hour queue!

And this is the food - that they had to perhaps kill a pig for and wait for the chook to lay some eggs. They taste fresh though.

And these are the patient customers; which I felt the lady at the counter should have told us about the 40min wait, and we could have passed. but still it was a pleasant day, and it was not too bad, except our friends where waiting out in thier car as we tagged along with them. :)

And then, we headed off to another fun venue, and this is Daniel being cheeky and obviously enjoying himself!

We visited the Diamond Valley Miniature Railway in Eltham and sat on a ride ( 20min) for only $3! Its definately a value for money ride, and its enjoyable. A note of advise for winter time, is to bring warm enough clothing, we did, and it was ok.

This is the ride that we sat on; with 2 other set of friends that came.

well well, Daniel is having a ball!

These cost $3 per ticket & like I said, the ride is good.

Here's a picture of us squeezing into the shot before the train took off.

And of course, a nice warm coffee for us all after the cooling ride. It was definately an eventful day.

Another Birthday Party.. Its DressUp time!

It was a dress up party for a 2 year old birthday so here is Daniel again in this croc suit- it was a birthday present from last year and is little fitted now, still works though.

Dino Party Theme with a lovely homemade cake & 2 grinning boys.

Thats daddy clown of the birthday boy which sent the older brother in terror and tears, but I personally felt he was a good clown!

Finding time to get cosy in the midst of a chaos in a toddler party :)

Posing for the camera is always a nightmare when it comes to kids!!
But this is the best we can get, anyway.

Its been a really messy wardrobe from the start- this is only a little of what I own, ( scary huh) I think so too.. I'm the typical shopphlic female that loves what I see! :)
This only came from my storage wicker box - and was attempting to downsize - lets see what we got... hmm...

I bought this from Batam in a Korean like shop - and I love it as its warm and very different form my usual style - wear this under a coat and I think it will look ok.

This look nicer on me than on the rack, Its a Dorothy Perkins top that I got from OG Singapore, on sale. It cost me $16 and it looked ordinary, but the cut stayed after a few washes- Its not ironed in the pic! hehe.
Yes, in the end, I ended up only packing everything up again and throwing out ONE pc of item that stretched. Great start...

Doggie Moment....

I know they look like a bunch of dead dogs BUT they are not. My babies are sleeping together in the middle of this cold cold winter to keep warm, and I love that animals too know how to snuggle up to each other. I always have a soft spot for my doggies. You'll be suprise at how they soothe you when you are stressed, maybe stress you out too with those wet muddy paws on rainy days.

Still, love a dog today, and it will love you unconditionally for the rest of its life.
