Giraffe Cafe?

We visited a really nice cafe on little lonsdale street, look at this cream brulee. Yum...

I must say I love the decor - its a place where lovers meet - and girlies hang out, the place is plastered in cute stuff - from postcards, collectable mugs, mags to homemade coasters, jugs as decor.

Here is Daniel having a ball as well. I will have to head there again one day - this time, girls only and no kids!

Last minute getaway - Torquay

It was a last minute decision to head down to Torquay Caravan Park - we packed out bags and stayed for a night in this cosy looking cabin - it was cosy alright.

Here is Daniel looking up " Gee, I can get accustomed to this!" I had to bring his little chair, of course.

We went to this river that was right next to the sea! it was ironic- havent seen that before -but it was really beautiful.

Bedtime stories from mummy in the cabin.

Sunday morning dose of organic museli and milk.. only the best for the best! I had processed Woolworths brand pancakes on my part!

Here is trip 2 to the beach after breakfast again. Funny to see a swimmer in the middle of winter, but strange things do happen.

Daniel had this HUGE sand-pit called the beach. He kept on pointing to the sand and saying SANDPIT! and was really nice when he said BYE BYE waves when we left.

Back to the playgrounds before we left - it was short. Too short I reckon but it breaks the monotony somewhat. now, what I need is a whole week of decent sleep.

Docklands Activity

It was cold..... and I mean really cold - my jacket didnt mask the cold one bit. I thanked my intuition that I rugged up Daniel really well. but I think it was less than 10 degrees that night. We headed out to "Ignite" at Docklands, and it wasn't fantastic at all. a little disappointing I must say. In an effort to stimulate sales for Docklands in winter, I think they put on several arty shows to draw the crowd.

I was captivated online to see this act - Juaggernaut. It looked nice and warm with fire and thought to myself it must be something special.

It was just interesting to see how people used fire to blow on pipes to create music, but it wasn't tuneful to me. Probalby amusing to some, but not to me especailly I had to drive a 40 min round trip and freeze just to see it.

Here is Daniel stuck in the pram - it was too painful for me to have him walk, we would have frozen halfway! Still, it was an interesting sight that you dont get to see daily.

A winter outing

During the Queen's Birthday public holiday, we had a long weekend and at the spur of the moment, decided to head over to You Yangs National Park for picnic. It was a cold 14 degree day and no sane person would sit outside to eat- but yes, we packed our sandwiches and away we went at 10.30am in the morning. We had a stroll, Daniel had picked up a fair share of rabbit and kangeroo poo with much curiousity but to my disgust; while daddy says, let him be.. The final straw came when he stared squasing the poo and stared at it.. Anyway..

We ate and walked a litte and decided to take a hike up "Pimple Hill" nicknamed for the amount of rocks it had and from a distance, it did look like someone's crater face. We took this route ( see pic) and Daniel came along too. Nice stroll up and down I must say, must feel a little accomplished that day having to climb a mini hill.

Here is Daniel, the scenery in the background was great - you can see a vast expense of land leading down to more trees and hills, It was cold but worth it.

Here is the family on Big Rock - another part of the You Yangs - it started to spit ( rain) not long after so it was great timing that we ended the picnic on this rock and headed home... minutes before the rain came. Nothing exciting but still something different.

Relaxing Breakkie @ the Sensory Gardens Cafe

We spent a relaxing weekend breakfast at the Werribee Mambourin Sensory Gardens last week, and it was quite calming for the soul. Especially after a hectic week of work, this is really a place to wound down a little, even though if its only for an hour.

Dave was his usual self, this is part of the cafe which seemed to be a home operated cafe style type of ambience.

Daniel would be wondering around after spending most of his time at the sand pit while we eat and he was joined by a couple of kids - that's whats so relaxing about it! I can eat in peace!!

Easter Echuca Encore

We deicded to head to Echuca during Easter and stop by a few places along the way... here s photos of our trip.

Its a long dusty road - I can't even remember whic h National park we stopped at - but there was NOTHING to see.

A boys wreastle after the meal on the lavender plantations is really beautful - thank God for a wonderful day with great weather which we hardly get in this part of the planet. :)

Hanging out with the chooks ( chickens) in Echuca is great on a Sunday morning where the farmers display their stock ( no pun intended)

Ferry Watching is soulful too along the Great Murray River.

Watch this tree - Flood levels were said to be on the top notch of the tree ( WOW!) in the 1800s and then ipped down the tree in 1975 & 1974 ( going down) and now, look at the corner where the water is now. This is amazing!

Its all in the movie - Its a 5 star for me on this one - Guys, this movie sure top it for me.

The content is pretty real and it does take you through a lot of emotions in terms of being married and sustaining a marriage and what it takes is a whole lot of other complications, not just simple love and emotions.
