Victoria - Echuca Trip

8th Nov 08: Weekend in Echuca Victoria - A walk along the rivers listening to birds chirping and the cool country style life - We went to visit Dave's parents over the weekend with a 2.5hour drive.

Here's Daniel at the Echuca Show that weekend - lots to see - cows, goats, chickens, and games!

Here is a picture of me and Daniel and Dave's mom by the river just oppostie their home. Very serene. NICE.

I love dogs-we went to a dog show held in the morning, it was one that people from Melbourne drove up just to show their dogs and win prizes.

Here's my fav breed - my COOKIE's breed! ALSAKAN MULAMUTE! Magnificiant creatures they are!

Here is an organ toy where you wound up the monkey and he plays a tune. Rustic.

FUDGE! YUM, Look at that, many flavours and they all taste good.

This is a movie house where they play black and white movies. And serve FREE fudge if you get a ticket to the show.

We ventured to the Porthouse when Daniel is taking his afternoon nap and grandma Dunstone is cooking us lunch! Just me and Dave - we got some fine wine for only $6!!

Another organ on the murray river.

Horse rides were offered as well. Old style country feel.

Chicken with a bad hair day - I had to show you guys!

Overall, we had an enjoyable time - this was taken on the way home from Echuca, Daniel is a darling to have, he behaved in the car - its tough for an adult to travel for that long in the car, let alone a baby!

Singapore Day - the stage

Here is PCK at his best... They did bring the BEST local export ( talent )down, and it was HIM.
Gumit never fails to be witty and bring lots of laughs to the audience with their stand up comedy live. The main story line is of course, Singapore is the best, when his nephew "alloy" went down to Melbourne to study and didnt want to come back yet, and the cast supposedly flew down to convince him. With the thick Singlish accent, it makes me miss home more!

There he is again, charming the crowd with ridicuolous blanter, but its sooo FUNNY!

There is the stage, with a presence of about 15,000 people, and great weather of 22 degrees, ( Melbourne being unpredicatable in weather) I must say, God is on our side that day!

Singapore Day - Melbourne 08 - The people

Here at Singapore Day, I met so many fellow SG ppl; here's a picture of a fellow M'sian who used to be my neighbour, She has to come becuz she LOVES the food!

There is David, trying to make sense of this "Kaisu" occasion. :)

Mummy feeding Daniel ARMY FOOD.

I'm a fan of YEOS packet drinks!

Living the Organic Life!

We took a walk down organic lane last Saturday and it was absolutley beautful! It was so serene; everything was down to basics, the food was WHOLE without pesticides, the air was FRESH, without MUCH pollution ( You cant really get 100% fresh air in the city these days), the chicken was real and not with hormone injections and the sheep were big and fat not because of steroids! The taste of coffee was aroma-peutic.. and for $3.50, the muffin tasted not full of air like those white fluffy bread, but something substantial for the body. anyway, it was a good experience.

There's mom and bubs in the morning!

Daniel: BORING, mom they are just veges!

Have you seen an organic muffin?

Organic Shoppe!

Organic Freak - daddy in action!

that's where they plant stuff.

Nature.... good atmospere..

Go Green.. Organic Checkouts!

Daniel and his REAL chickens!

Won't you want a bite of these?

I'm sure Daniel enjoyed the morning as much as I did, and we were both not feeling at best. He was having a feel for the chickens, trying to re-cycle ( I caught him eating someone's muffin that fell on the floor with the rest of the dirt that people walked on. YUCK, but anyway..) Its good to get him in touch with nature and how it should be like.. a toddler I saw was waddling out to the ducks., and he walked barefoot! Me being the typical Singaporean, go ... eee... no, my son needs shoes but secretly wish that someone would wash him if I let him go like this..
Its a beautiful Spring moring, and we all enjoyed it, we should go out for more activities like this.
Good Bonding time for the family! :)

Relishing little pleasures in life..
